Scheduled Task

I've got XP with one user account, no password, and I'm trying to run Back Up as a Scheduled Task and it's giving me the following message in the Status column of the Scheduled Task Window: "The scheduled task did not run because no user account password was entered." Do I have to create an account password and use it in order to get Scheduled Task to work? If so, why does my Norton Antivirus work without a password
