schedular checks for updates every hour!

I happened to open my scheduler, and I looked at the google update and
adobe update items, and they are scheduled to run every hour every
day!! Are they crazy, or am I? How could one possibly need this
more than once a day or once a week?

Could one of these be the reason my computer jams up once in a while
and won't do anything for a almost a minute?

Real Player Upgrade and Real Upgrader has one at startup every day
too. I'm happy with the RealPlayer I have now. Maybe I should
change this to every 6 months???

Thanks

Google items do not Auto update

I was just going by the name of the name of the item in the scheduler.
There are 3 items that start with GoogleUpdateTask....
You know if you uninstall Google,

I don't have google mail or anything I would call an install of
google.
it will do it update with out a Google

adobe items do not Auto update

Real Upgrade will jams up computer once in a while

Thanks all. I'm going to get rid of most of the items.

Another problem I didnt' mention was that they put so many entries in
the scheduler log that I was having trouble finding the entries I went
to the log to see, entries for RadioMaxima.

I'll get back to you about that program.

I'm really starting to like it, and even though it doesn't have much
of a manual, I've worked out most of how it works. I paid for it so I
can schedule recordings in advance. There are two other programs by
the same company that do simillar things, TapinRadio and RamaRadio.
RadioMaxima seems like the somewhat most powerful, and the latest, and
the best organized, but it's more expensive (still only $29) and it
doesn't have all the same radio stations that TapinRadio has. Each
program already has the webreception data for 100's of webradio
stations installed, but apparently not the same ones, But if you
find a station in the FREE install of Tapin, the url will be there and
you can copy the info to RadioMaxima. (When I had found the player
window online while it was playing from a web browser, and copied that
url to RadioMaxima, it wouldn't play.)

I use
Windows Media Player
For my Radio Player

I was using that and happy with it. I could use my multimedia
keyboard to start and stop, and by the way I stored the radio station
urls, I could change stations with Next Track and Previous Track.
Click on Media Guide
Click on Internet Radio
it's free
And AudaCity for
the recordings

Thanks.

Does AudaCity do scheduled recordings, scheduled in advance?
I need that because with three particular broadcasts, all of my
favorites, I'm usually out, or sleeping, or busy.

I'm looking at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/about/features and it
looks like a powerful program, but I can't find anything that might
mean one can schedule a recording in advance.
