scanner

I just upgraded my Windows ME to Windows XP home
edition. It will not recognize my Epson Perfection 1200U
scanner software. It says it has not passed the windows
logo testing. What does that mean and how do I get it to
pass? Do I need to buy a new scanner. I downloaded the
latest driver from Epson.
Please advise.
Thank you

If you have the XP driver for your scanner, ignore the "logo" message and
install anyway. The "not passed logo" just means that UMAX did not pay MS
for their "seal of approval".

You are more fortunate than I. When I went to XP, there was no XP driver for
my 1200U. I gave away my scanner and bought another. Now, I find that there
is a driver. Oh Well.

I read past the fact that your scanner is Epson, the same applies though. If
there is an XP driver, ignore the "logo" message and install anyway.
