Scanner Camera Wizard AUTOMATIC FOLDER NAMING-NOTHING TO DO WITH A

running XP sp2. The problem-before sp2 I used to plug my digital camera in,
the wizard started and the dialog box for choosing file destination would
automatically choose and make a folder, naming it as the date when the
pictures were taken.

Personally I found this very useful as I didnt have to name each individual
folder.

After having had a new HDD fitted to my laptop and reloaded the software
that feature has now gone....anybody got any clues as to getting it back?

It would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

The only option I know when you open XP Scanner and Camera Wizard (SP1 or
SP2) is:
"Type a name for this group of pictures"

Yes, you can have this naming option when you select some photo editing
software to download the pictures but as far as I know there is no such
thing as XP reading the EXIF file of the first picture and naming the folder
from it and I have computers on SP1 and SP2 and the option above is the same
on both.

Hmmm, very strange! Bought the Camera last year-threw the bundled software
away immediately as I didnt need it and I still have folders of stored
pictures on my PC with titles such as '2004-05-31' that I played no part in
naming....
how did they get their names then??!!!!!!! I'm more and more intrigued!
