Scan pauses under VNC

Having read the few articles that had 'VNC' in the subject, I don't
see my issue.

With the newest version of MSAS (509) installed and defs #5691,
running on w2k (all available updates applied) and accessing this
computer via RealVNC (www.realvnc.com) v 4.0 on both ends ...

MSAS scans memory processes fine, however, if the controlling window
is not the top window, MSAS pauses during file and reg key scanning,
and will not resume until the application on the controlled computer
is clicked.

If someone with an @*.microsoft.com address wants to see this in
action, feel free to email me, details in .sig .

There's a bug being replicated, I believe on a behavior with TightVNC. I
haven't seen yours either. Thanks for giving all the details needed to
replicate it.

I haven't seen any problems running scans with MS AS 1.0 beta while remoted
in with TightVNC, but when I remote into a PC via TightVNC 1.2.9, I do get
duplicate MS AS 1.0 icons in the system tray. But that is the only time.
Doesn't duplicate the icon on the viewer side of TightVNC.

We are investigating both of these issues.
