Scan Disk / Check Disk Will Not Run

When I schedule check disk which is XP's version of scan disk it will ask me if I would like it to run when the system reboots. When I reboot the system it will usually run, but now the system will suspend and it will skip the scan disk process and just load XP. On one reboot it said that it was unable to acess the volume. I have ran all spyware programs and virus scans come up clean. I can run chkdsk in XP but I was wondering why I cant before XP boots

The answer is almost certainly for you to uninstall your recent update to
Zone Alarm 5. Do a bit of a search of this and other Windows help groups or
even visit the Zone Alarm web site and it's notice boards.

Richard.
