Saving Web Pages

At certain sites (USA Today, for example), I cannot save
web pages. I get the following message:

The web page could not be saved to the selected location.

I usually save in the web archive (.mht) format, but that
doesn't seem to matter - the only format these pages will
save in is .txt, and I prefer to keep all the picture and
layout content. Also, I try changing the location, but
that doesn't seem to matter either (despite the error
message). Does anyone know what's going on? Thanks!

I believe this all depends on the page you're on - forms, for example, can't
usually be saved. If you have a PDF writer such as Acrobat, you could print
to a file....just a thought.

Hi,

Check your settings under Tools/Folder Options/View/Managing pairs of Web
pages and folders...

Thanks for getting back to me, but I don't see Managing
pairs of Web pages and folders in the dialog box.

I followed your directions exactly. Am I missing
something?

Thanks again.

Sorry, do you have Office installed?

See if the edit on line 222 (right hand side) helps:
