Saving pictures from the internet

Hi,

I am trying to save pictures/images from the internet to
disc, and the only option that I have to save as is bitmap
files. All of the same pictures that I saved as JPEG
files as recently as yesterday are no longer able to be
saved as JPEG's. I'm only able to save as bitmap. How do
I get things back to the way they were?

Hi

Try clearing out your Temporary Internet Files folder:

Open Internet Explorer - then go to Tools>Internet Options - in the Temporary Internet Files box click on 'Delete Files...' and also check 'Delete all offline content'.

Hi, I have a new computer on order so have been monitoring this group.
Lots of great info. Have had plenty of questions answered and found
things to be aware of just by following for a couple days instead of just
pounding out questions.

But I've seen this answer a few times.

Does anyone know _why_ a full TIF would cause pics to be saved in an
undesireable format? Never ran into this with 98SE and save plenty of
photos as I belong to several photo newsgroups.
