saving Outlook 2007 message as Word 2007 doc

In an Outlook 2003 new message, I had an option in Save As to save as a Word
doc. In 2007, the Save As option only includes Text, HTML and several Outlook
options. Is there no other way to save a message as a Word doc in Outlook
2007?
Thanks

That's because in your Outlook 2003 Options, you have Word 2003 chosen as
your email editor. Word 2007 is used as the editor in Outlook 2007, whether
Word is installed or not. There are different options available if it is
installed, but they do not include saving as .doc.

Search Outlook Help for "word as editor" and you will find a link to a white
paper about it.

Your best bet in the meantime is to save as RTF.

the formats you can save in depend on the message format - all formats
support saving as plain text files while html offers html supported formats
too and rtf offers RTF. I don't know why they no longer offer doc format, in
fact I hadn't noticed it. I know that HTML saves extra files in a folder
named for the message subject - its annoying and totally useless IMHO.
