Saving non-email files in Outlook folders

I was wondering if it is a good idea to save non-email items in Outlook
folders; e.g. dragging and dropping PDFs, JPEGS, Word documents, etc into
Outlook folders. I know it can be done as I have tried it, but I was told by
someone that they tried to organise there files using Outlook, on a previous
version to 2003 which I have, and the system crashed. I would be grateful for
any advice.

If you are using pst files, depending on the version of outlook, they have
size limits and are prone to corruption. You are better off saving the
messages in regular windows folders with the other files.
