saving emailed calendar items

my secretary emails me calendar items as attachments; how do I save it to my
calendar in my Outlook. We don't have a shared calendar. This process seems
to work well for our needs if it would just save to my calendar.

What happens when you double click on the attachment? Do you get an
Accept/Decline/Tentative option? What version of Outlook is this?

we use Outlook 2007. When I double click it, it opens the calendar item,
but when I tell it to save, it goes away as if it saved - but it doesn't show
up on my calendar on my computer.

Try dragging it into your Calendar folder.
