Saving/Completing project

Every time I try to save to my computer I get the following error: This
project contains source files that are missing or that have been modified
after import. Your project cannot be saved as a movie until the source files
have been located or deleted from the project.

How can I save this project.

If files had been moved or deleted, wouldn't it be impossible to play the
movie from within Movie Maker? I am getting this same error and I am positive
no files have been moved or deleted as I am able to play the whole movie back
from within Movie Maker with no problems.

As Papajohn said there are a few possibilities here but the most common one
for this error message seems to be a filetype issue such as an MP3 that
Movie Maker doesn't like or an MPG that Movie Maker doesn't like.
