Saving Attachments to other locations

We used Outlook Express for years. When saving an email with an attachment
to a network folder, we could always also open the attachment. Since
migrating to Outlook, we can no longer open the attachements. Note, we are
saving the email and attachments by right clicking the email and save as
which defaults to HTML.

Is there anyway to adjust settings so that when email is saved, it is in
another format that allows retension of the attachment?

Thanks for your help.

You'd need to save as an .msg file. An HTML file has no attachments.
