saving a movie

I am trying to save a movie to a cd or dvd to send to my family to view on
their tv. I have nero. It will not let me pull it in as a video. I do not
have movie maker 2.1. I can not afford the sp2 to get it. Is this the only
way to make it work or is there a may to do it with the older version of
movie maker? I have pictures and music in my movie I have saved. If there
is no way to do this does anyone have suggestions for a program similar to
this that is as easy to use and free or very cheap. I really like the movie
maker program and how easy it is to use. when I go to the help part it talks
about save wizard. I can not find this wizard or how to do what it says to
do to finish the movie so it will be able to be saved to be viewed in other
formats. Thanks for any suggestions

Check this page of mine which tells you how to save as a dv-avi file and
this will import into nero to burn as a dvd.

SP2 is free. You can download it, or best option is to request it as a cd
from MS.
