Saving a "Maximized" window setting?

In XP, does anyone know how to save your window settings?
I.E. I open windows explorer and I always have to
maximize the window. How do I save it so it will always
open "maximized"? Thanks

Use you mouse and stretch the window to size, do not use the Maximize icon.
The click File and then Close, next time you open Windows Explorer it will
open to the stretched size. Works in IE, OE and Windows Explorer.

Question? Why do you say, do not use the "maximize
button? Is there a way to save the "maximize" setting
like there was in previous version of windows? Thanks

Modify the shortcut & Choose Maximize as the default
value for Run.
