Save the text box data in a certain field in the table

Neil

I have a combo box with 3 columns inside, the first column fills the Project
ID, the next 2 columns populates 2 text boxes that shows the project number
and project name.

I got the data by the command

=Combo86.column(2) - for the project number
=Combo86.column(1) - for the project name

I want to save this 2 text boxes in a table. How can I do this.

Help please.

Thank you.

Can you show me how.

I tried many times but what happens is that the control source for the text
box deletes the rule "=combo186.column(1)"

I really need an assistance.

Thank you.

You set the field as the data source for the control, even though it is a
combobox with dropdown data, it will save your combobox selection to that
field that you set as the data source in the table.

Yes, the 2 text boxes where created in the form and I want them to be saved
on the table
Is the table you want to save to the data source for the form?
