Save Profile on a PC shared by others!!!!!!

Hello,
I currently share my PC with others, and everytime I log back on to
the PC, I have to change my settings back to the way I had them. This
includes moving the desktop icons to the screen I had them on and the Start
toolbar. We also have 4 screens that we like to keep at particular seetings
that we are accustomed to. Is there any way to save my Profile so that when
I log back onto the PC it will go back to the settings I set up. Any help
would be appreciated.....
Thanks,

You setup a user account the way you like, and every time someone signs
on to the user account that's what they'll see.

You can use group policies to limit the changes that can be made to an
account. You may find the Internet Explorer Administrators Kit useful.

I have my user account set up the way I want it, and the other people that
share this PC are set up also. But I guess I am missing something. What do
I check/change so that everytime I log onto the Lan at work, that my desktop
icons and monitor settings stay the way they are right now when I am logged
on. I am not too familiar with what needs to be done to rectify this. Any
additional help would be appreciated....

Thanks,

Not quite clear as to whether you use the same computer at work as the one
you are now talking about - but if your work uses a Domain, then you may
well find that there is a standard desktop that is loaded on all
workstations, that can't be changed...

Gordon,
Yes this PC I am using does use a domain and it is my work PC. So
basically there is nothing that can be done to set it up so that each user
when they login in that they use the standard desktop. Nothing can be
changed???

If in fact that is what your domain admin has implemented, yes. It's done
for a very good reason, it makes administration and troubleshooting very
much easier if all workstations use the same "shadow" desktop.....
