how do i save picture as jpg. if i only get the option to save as bitmap and
the picture is in jpg format

It's time to perform some house cleaning chores:

Go to Start > Run and type: CLEANMGR.EXE , and hit enter.
This will start your disk cleanup utility. Make sure to cleanup
your Temporary Internet Files.

You need to empty your Temporary Internet Files buffer. In IE click Tools,
Internet Options and delete the Temporary Internet Files.

Internet Options> General> Temporary Internet Files> Delete Files
Once the cache is cleared, the ability to save JPGs as JPGs should return.
