Save Options

Hi,

Is there any way to customize the installation of an
instance of Excel so that certain menu options are not
available? I want to give access to a workbook where
people input numbers, get results and print them, but I
don't want the user to have the ability to actually save
the workbook - either to the pc's local drive or anywhere
else - so I want to remove 'Save' and 'Save As' from
the 'File' menu. Any thoughts?

Thanks

I think you can write a macro with the same name as the
internal command you want to suppress and that will be
executed instead.
However, watch out because sometimes buttons and menu
commands appear to do the same thing but are actually
calling similar, but different, routines.
I used this some time ago to stop users printing a very
large document by forcing them into a macro that printed a
selected area. It may have been in Word though!

Hope that helps.
