Save inline image from Outlook 2007 mail message?

Hi!

How do i save an inline image from a mail message in Outlook 2007?

Previously, i could right-click the image and choose Save as, but now the
only available feature seems to be Copy. Sure i can paste the picture into
Paint.NET from where i can save the pasted image, but come on, that can't be
the real solution! Or i could get a macro which would save all the
attachments, but still that just isn't what i'm looking for.

Did you ever figure this one out? I am having the same problem and
would appreciate any help you can share. Thank you!!!

Surprisingly (ridiculously?), this feature is not available in Outlook 2007.

See, for example, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917120

Sadly, the workaround described there does not work for me (using Photoshop CS3, for example) because the menu item Copy does not appear to store the image in the clipboard (and so Edit|Paste is not an available option in the target image editor).

Dragging the inline image to an Explorer window results in the creation of a (huge and fairly useless) Scrap file. So that's also a bust.

But, there is still hope...

This works for me (on XP):

If you click and drag the image to the desktop, a dialog box appears prompting you to save the image so that you can add it to your Active Desktop. You can then save the image and subsequently cancel the addition to the Active Desktop.
