Save As

F

Farmer Ted

Save as is grayed out when I pull up a document that either I have created or
that someone esle has sent me. This never happened before and has been on
every document for the last few days. I have to copy the document and open
up another word document and paste it and then hit save (SAVE as is still
not avialable then).

I am then able to SAVE it as the name I want to.

Any suggestions on why this is happening with all Word docs...not it does
not happen with Excel

You're asking in the wrong place, Ted; this newsgroup is for Microsoft Access
databases. Please repost in a Word forum. The webpage can be confusing and may
have misled you.

Note also that the people who answer questions here are unpaid volunteers.
Posting a "bump" after 40 minutes is a mite impolite.

Bump...please any help

Did you not see my reply at 11:58?

You're asking in the wrong place (the webpage can indeed be confusing); this
is the first group alphabetically but it's for Microsoft Access database
questions. Scroll down the list and you'll find forums for Word. Ask in one of
these, indicating what version of Word you're using and what's changed since
"before".

Note also that we're all unpaid volunteers here. If you don't like the speed
of the responses... well, here's a full refund of your cost: [ ]

Maybe he didn't ... there's several posts re: trouble on the web
interface again.
