SAV 10

What is your opinion of Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition 10. It
supposedly has Spyware detection also, but I use the Microsoft
Antispyware which I like very much. My employer offers it for home
installations with definition downloads from Symantec. We use SAV 9 at
work, but controlled by local servers. I have not noticed any
performance hits from that version.

My home machine is WXP SP2, P4 2.0 Ghz, 1 MB RAM
Currently I have Etrust EZ Antivirus as primary and AntiVir as a
non-resident backup.
I have a lot of RAM but Oracle runs on my machine which sucks a lot of
resources.

I'm sure you meant to say 1gb of ram ;)
I know that Symantec uses quite a bit more resources than the others
but the corporate version is very good.
Here is a comparison chart for antispyware programs
http://spywarewarrior.com/asw-features.htm
AntiVir running as resident uses few resources(it's what I use)
David Lipman's Multi_AV is good for a backup scanner(has 4 command-line
scanners) I have a link to it on my site.

Haven't tried SAV 10, but Symantec's Corporate products are very
efficient, unlike the home user stuff they sell. Would I take SAV over
CA ETrust? Yes.
