sata raid driver crashing after Norton Systemworks install

I get a sudden crash upon rebooting after installation of norton systemworks
2004.

It will show the BSOD ('blue screen of death') with the message that a
driver generated a fatal error (Irq less or equal). The driver is
SI3112R.SYS , the sata raid driver.

happens just after it comes to the login screen.

problem is, i have reinstalled everything 3 times now and it does it
everytime.

after it happens, i cant reverse it. boots to safe mode but cant do a
restore, nor uninstall the offending software!

any ideas?

That is a standard result of installing System Doesn't Works, I recommend NOT installing it.
