SATA harddrive

Hi
I am having trouble installing Windows 2KPro onto a SATA
harddrive - I press F6 during the Windows installation and
when prompted I insert the SATA controller drivers into
the floppy disk drive - however windows doesn't recognise
the drivers or my hard drive and as a result I can't
install windows.
Has anybody else had this problem and more importantly how
was it solved?

I have had the same issue and unfortunately it usually meant I was using an
incorrect driver. If your SATA controller is integrated with the
motherboard, there are usually drivers included with the motherboard
installation CD. Otherwise, try the manufacturer's website or
http://www.driverguide.com for drivers. If you aren't having any luck, post
the manufacturer and model number of your card here, and someone can help
you find the driver.

Do you have the driver files in a sub-folder on the floppy ? - I think all
the files need to be in the root.

I'm also having (different) trouble with an SATA drive, see post in
win2000.general
