Sapphire X1800XT Crossfire-ready?

Hi everybody, I just bought a Radeon X1800XT made by Sapphire, model
number 100154L. It was not advertised as a Crossfire Edition, but on
the box there is a large Crossfire logo, and looking carefully at the
product specsheet on NewEgg, it says it is "Crossfire-ready." Does
this simply mean that it will work if added to a system with a
Crossfire Edition card, or can I add an additional X1800XT of the same
or different model number and have a working Crossfire system?

Thanks in advance,

The Crossfire logo is on the box because the card is "Crossfire-ready". It
will work if added to a system with a Crossfire Edition card.

The surest way to tell is to examine the two DVI ports. If they look
identical, you have a "slave" card. If one port has a high-density pin-out,
you have a Crossfire Edition "master" card.

thanks! i also noticed that under the sticker that sapphire placed on
the cooler (the one with an alien's head on it) there appears to be
another image (possibly of ruby?) does anyone know what image this is?
thanks,

Yes, it's Ruby. All the high-end ATi cards are manufacturered in Toronto by
Molestica - the different vendors just put their stickers on the fan shroud
to differentiate them. Ironically this means we probably don't get the 100%
QA inspections possible in Taiwan with cheap labor.
