Sapphire Radeon 9200 Atlantis - probably failed. Any way to repair?

I bought this ATI Sapphire (128mb) card in August 2004. Mainly to use
for Video capture (It is VIVO) on a system used for just that
activity. The Computer has rarely been used. Unfortunately the picture
was lost last night when doing no more than transfer a couple of files
from a memory stick.

I could not get the picture back. Swapped a PCI card for this card
(AGP) and picture returned.

I assume that the ATI card has failed.

Is there anything worth trying to ensure this is permanent and maybe
revive it, or is it not worth the effort?

Any suggestions on action to take to repair the card would be
appreciated.

The heat dissipation is by Heat Sink rather than fan. This seems to be
permanently fixed.

Do not assume the card is bad. Could be the motherboard. Try card in
different computer

I know that the motherboard works as the PCI card I put in allows the
system to operate normally. However it may be that the AGP slot is
faulty?

Will check other PCs (all are older than the system in question) to
see if they will take an 8x AGP card. Thanks for suggesting this as I
must admit that I was working on it being the card itself. Doesn't do
any harm to look at alternative causes.

The motherboard works as I put in a PCI graphics card to replace the
ATI AGP card.

However, I must admit that I had it in mind that the card failed,
whereas it may be the AGP slot that has failed.

Will try the AGP in another system when I double-check whether I have
one with AGP 8x present.

Thanks.
