I am trying to install Samsung ML-1710 printer drivers. I
am getting an error "sspnt2kxp Access Denied". After
clicking ok on this message box then, at the end I am
getting RPC Server Not available. Printer not installed
correctly. I am using dell dimension 8200. Does any one
know how to fix this problem. thanks.

I found solution myself. My print spooler service is set
to run manually and it is stopped. I changed it to run
automatically and started the service and rebooted the
computer and installed the printer without any problem.

I am having this same issue with the same printer. However my Print
Spooler Service is up and running automatically. I have also tried
restarting it. Any suggestions on how to remedy this?

Thanks,
Chris

Hi,

I also had this problem on my windows 2000 os. On the same machine I
have also winxp os. The samsung printer is installed to winxp without
any problem. The same procedure does not work on win2000 os. If I
ignore "access denied" warning the printer could not find the usb port
on its setting. So I cannot use this printer on win2000 system. I also
wrote this problem to samsung. They send me a new driver but problem
cannot be solved. After that they said that they need to inspect both
the computer and the printer to be able to solve this problem. But
because they do not have any support in my country (Turkey) they could
not help me. If any one solves this problem I will appreciate him/her
:) thanks a lot ....
