Same Problem with TS Licensing as Bill Engle

D

David

Running W2K Server w/SP3 and have 19 CALS purchased and
activated; Had 14 TS 2003 CALS purchased and activated;
however only 4 licenses were issued. 2 temporary
licenses appeared in TS License Manager for 1 XP & 1 W2K
W/Station. License Manager service is started and no Event
Viewer listings regarding this. Have re-activated TS
Licensing and not applied 14 TS CALS - All W/Stations now
getting Temp Licenses. Had to re-activate Licensing 3
times before I got to current solution of not applying TS
CALS License. Need help cause only got 80 days left for
temporaries !

A W2K licensing server cannot handle 2003 TS CALs, so it's not amazing that
the 14 2003 TS CALs were not issued (in fact I'm amazed that you could
install them at all).

Since both W2K an XP clients receive temporary licenses, it must mean that
either the license server is not running correctly or the TS cannot locate
the LS. That should be evident from the EventLog on the TS, not on the LS.

Have you tried hardcoding the address of the LS into the registry of the
TS?

By the way, these W2K and XP clients are *Pro* versions, aren't they?
