Microsoft Update. Express Button. 1. KBxxxxxxx, said it installed. Ran MS
Update again, still there. 0KB, 0mins, Ready to install. Did the Msiexec run
command and tried MS Update>Express again. It didn't show up. Help about on
WD showed no change since sig ver 1389.7. Ran WD>About>Check for Updates.
Came across fine. Lets just tell everyone to do the Run command every time
before they try to update WD. Saves lots of time.

I'm having trouble again on my home machine--so far all the office machines
have gone fine, though.

I saw thgis morning that a new build for WD was available for download. Ver #
1.1.1347.0... I downloaded and installed it. Unchecked the box for check for
updates and run a scan. Clicked finish. Started WD and checked my Options
under the tools menu. Was also prompted that my Def Ver was 77 days old. Did
the check for updates and now have the following:

WD Ver: 1.1.1347.0
Eng Ver: 1.1.1303.0
Def Ver: 1.1.1395.2

I will have to wait until the next release of the definition updates to see
if the problem with MicroSoft Update has been solved. All is good so far.
Lets keep our fingers crossed (or is that bad luck?).

I think this is expected behavior--the new download comes with no defs. I
have, however, seen varied behavior on installs I think. I've only done
three, but I'm not sure the def number on the home page went to zero on all
three.

You need to recheck both spynet membership (which will be automatically set
to basic or lower by you during the install) and the options settings. (I
know you went over the options--just mentioning this for everybody to think
about.)
