Sage Software Compatability

Guest

I have successfully used a piece of Sage software (Instant Accounting) for
many years but I have tried to open the software as normal only to get the
follwoing error message under a "16 Bit Windows Subsystem heading:
C:/WINNT/System32/Autoex.nt The system file is not suitable for running MS
DOS & Microsoft Windows applications.
I have never had this happen before. I have downloaded Service Pack 4 but to
no avail.
Any ideas please?

Thank you for your kind reply. Seems like I need to speak to a software
boffin as I am beginning to get a bit out of my depth here! I did look up
both the autoexec.nt and the config.nt files in Windows Explorer and opened
them in Notebook. They both had the same script as the web page to which I
was directed. Is there any simple remedy I can use beyond re-loading Windows
2000. Otherwise I don't know what to do if that doesn't work! Any answers,
please?

Many thanks
