'Safely Remove Hardware' SATA disks

Is there any way of stopping my SATA hard disks appearing in the 'Safely
Remove Hardware' icon on XP Pro?

I know there's no harm in them being there; it's just that I use removable
hard disks, MP3 players etc and don't want to remove the wrong thing by
mistake ;)

Thanks

This question arises every so often... but Microsoft refuses to
acknowledge it.
Several times (last - on the WinHEC'05) we tried to talk with MS people
responsible for this area but all in vain.
They simply fail to understand the obvious fact: ONLY YOU, THE USER, KNOW
EXACTLY WHICH DEVICE IS REMOVABLE AND WHICH IS NOT.

Please somebody try again... I'm giving up.

With some motherboards there are a choice of 4 SATA conenctors. 1 & 2 allow
hot swaping (you see the drives in Safely Remove Hardware) whilst 3 & 4 do
not; have alook in your motherboard manual.
