Safe hardware removal tool

My "Safe Hardware Removal Tool" icon is missing from the taskbar, how can I
access this program/ restore the icon to the taskbar?

I don't have an exact answer, however when mine disappears I load by backup
program as if I were going to back up and then close it down (cancel it) and
the 'safe remove ICON reappears'.

Plug something in a USB port..............
It should only show when you have a REMOVABLE device attached.......what
other hardware would you be removing??
