S820 Banding Problem

Hi,
I'm new to this NG.
I have had an 820 for over a year. I use it almost daily and have printed
off quite a bit of photos. I am getting horizontal banding whenever I choose
the highest setting for photos - but not when I choose standard, or low
quality. (Unfortunately the quality is not good enough in that mode). It
is the worst at the bottom inch of the page. I have tested it using Photo
paper pro and epson photo paper, but they both show banding. I have tried
cleaning the print head with rubbing alcohol, and replacing the cartridges.
The print test shows obvious lines in the photo magenta. My warranty has
run out, unfortunately and technical support isn't sure what it could be
other than the printhead. I have already replaced it about 5 months ago and
I am running the latest driver.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

Try and clean the optical sensor (the metal plate to the left when you open
up the lid) with some isopropryl alcohol and air dust it .
Then run an alignment print.
Have you shut down the printer without using the button?Through a powerstrip
perhaps?
If so the timings could be messed up.This will require service,
Good luck
