S-video and RCA

Hello,

I a Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop with a Mobility Radeon 7500 video card(is this a capture card?), It has a S-video port on the back. I bought an S-video signal converter(from RCA to S-video) from Radio Shack to connect the VCR to the computer(XP/Moviemaker). The VCR has RCA Jacks. But I get an error message that there is no input device connected. I'm I missing something? Thanks.

Yes, you're missing a brain. The S-Video port on your card
is for output.
