Causing problems:

running xp home with a speedtouch adsl modem. i run the driver software and
all is fine. as soon as i plug the modem in(usb) the whole thing freezes and
i have to switch off.
leave the modem in and the computer starts but freezes as soon as it gets
into the windows desktop as it loads everything at start up.

if i start with the modem unplugged then everthing is fine. i have the
latest driver from speedtouch.

the system will start in safe mode with the modem plugged in.

any ideas how to troublesshoot as i imagine that there is a
hardware/software/driver conflict somewhere??

actually i've sorted it.
