Runtime Error - Do you wish to Debug?

B

Brian Kunkel

I have been reading through all of these post trying to
find the solution to my problem, although I didn't see
anything that was specific to mine.

The following error message seems to pop up on my screen
several times per day while using IE 6.0, always when i
attempt to pull up a new wabe page.

"A Runtime Error has occurred.
Do you wish to Debug?
Line: 26 (# changes randomly)
Error: Object required (and sometimes 'null' is null or
not an object)"

When this error screen does appear it usually appear
several times right in a row. Does anybody know how to
resolve this?

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.
Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error.

Same prob....can't find a solution. Only started
happening after installing latest IE6 service packs. Only
happens with some web sites. It is definetly a MS prob
and not specific to a box or configuration. I have this
happening on a new SB 2000 server....vanilla install with
latest patches.

Common script errors messages can be eliminated by Clicking:
Menu: Tools - Internet Options - Advanced tab.
Check "Disable script debugging"
Uncheck "Display a notification about every script error"
