Running totals

2,000 different items in inventory. I have created a report that will show
if there is enough on hand inventory to fill orders for the next selected
number of weeks (orders all have ship by dates). Now requested to show all
orders that can be shipped complete and what is missing from others. A kind
of running totals report showing each order. I am having trouble even seeing
where to start on this. Any suggestions or links to examples or articles
would be appreciated. Thanks
