Running apps not showing on taskbar

Running applications don't show up on the Taskbar whether they're minimized
or not. This happened after having to perform an install from the restore
disk for the laptop. Has anyone ever experienced this issue before?

Try MS-MVP Kelly Theriot's site:

Look under Taskbar Repair, or Taskbar, minimized programs not showing. I
believe either one will work.
