Two things that should help...
1) Get the file size under control
**Why are my PowerPoint files so big? What can I do about it?

2) Hyperlinking PowerPoint shows
If you select an object or some text in the first show, you can create a
hyperlink to the second show. Just right click and select hyperlink, then
navigate to the second file's location and select the file. Now, when you
click on the object or text, you will be taken to the second show. Since
you are running 2003, you will also be treated to a virus warning pop-up.
These can be disabled on a machine basis by following the advice of this
FAQ.
**"Some files can contain viruses ..." message when clicking a hyperlink
