to run and then not finding the program so it's giving the error.
Getting rid of it would probably require a little registry editing but
I am not up to that task. Plus, it's not hurting anything.

You don't have to edit the registry to stop things from starting with
Windows (and hence getting the error message about the missing item).
Go to Start>Run and type "msconfig" without the quotes. Look on the
Startup tab and uncheck the box next to the culprit's name. Click Apply
and OK out. When you restart Windows, you'll get a message saying
you've used the System Configuration Tool - just mark the box to say
"don't bother me with this any more". It is a good idea to minimize the
amount of programs that start with Windows. Here are links to sites
