RUNDLL32.EXE

Got a strange problem happening to one of my customers,
can't figure it out. He's running Win2K Pro, SP4 on his
machine and when he boots up, the computer seems to work
just fine. Rundll32.exe hangs open after startup, but
causes no 'ill' effects. When he runs compiled Crystal
Reports files, the reports hang as well as the programs'
application CRRUN32.exe uses RUNDLL32.exe to run the
Crystal Reports Print Engine, CRPE32.dll.

When it tries to use Rundll32.exe, Rundll32.exe hangs open
a second time, as does the Crystal program, CRRUN32.exe.
Closing CRRUN32.exe does not close the Rundll32.exe, and
it stays open. Closing both instances of Rundll32.exe,
allows reports to run again, but only one time (for this
it opens rundll32.exe). The second time a report is run,
it opens a second instance of rundll32.exe again, and then
hangs.

Note: I have scoured Seagate's Crystal's support documents
and website and have not found anything to relate to this
problem.

Anyone had any problems with rundll32.exe running DLL's?
Anyone have any ideas on how I could fix this problem? I
don't have physical or remote access to the computer (only
telephone through an end-user), so any troubleshooting
steps would be appreciated. Thanks!
