rundll32.exe freezes

When i shutdown my computer, the program "rundll32.exe"
is still running and not responding. Is this the sign of
a virus?

in my previous experience this is exactly what happened to me
and i had 2 viruses detected and cleaned by norton antivirus 2004
then this problem didnt happen again

cant remeber what the virus was however
