RUNDLL error

Every time I start my Windows XP, i get a error message:

RUNDLL

Virhe ladattaessa: C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.dll

Määritettyä osaa ei löydy.

Which is something like "Error opening: C:\WIN..." "Defined file cannot be
found"

How come? Where can I get that file?

Hi

bridge.dll is a part of some spyware.

Please try these programs to check for any spyware that may be on your
system:

Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder - http://forum.aumha.org/downloads/cwshredder.zip
Spy Sweeper - www.webroot.com

Try SpyWareBlaster to stop intrusions:

Hi! And thank you very much for your quick reply!

I have used Ad-aware program, and in fact this problem started one time when
I ran the Ad-aware. It removed something spyware related files from my
computer, and since then the error message has started prompting...

Does this problem have a connection to another, which started at the same
time:

Every time I start my computer, I have to set again and again the guick
start icons on the task bar right next to the Start -button. The icons won't
appear automatically, I have to switch them on every time and always arrange
them, because they are always disoriented -or anyway not in that order what I
want...

Strange...

Thank you very much for your help!

Hi

Run all those programs - they may pick up more spyware. Also have a look in
msconfig>startup to see if there is an entry there for that file. If so,
uncheck it then reboot your system

I found many spyware related stuff from my computer and removed them. A also
found the bridge.dll filed checked in the msconfig. Now it won't prompt the
error message when starting the machine -but it still won't keep the quick
icons on the task bar! I still have to put them on every time...

And do you know why My Files -folder opens automatically every time I start
Windows...? I cannot find anything concerning that in Startup -folder or
anything...

Yes, sorry I meant My Documents -I'm using the finnish version of Windows and
trying desperately to translate everything. Sorry about that...

So, it's kind of an bug in XP. I'll try to run the reg...

Okay. Now at least for one startup everything seems to be in order...

Thank you very much, Will!!!
