RUNDLL Error loading C:\WINDOWS\System32\msiefr40.dll

This error message is quite annoying. Ever since I ran
the latest version of Ad-Aware and removed all detected
spyware, this DLL error message pops up everytime on
Windows restart and startup:

----------------------------------------------
RUNDLL

Error loading C:\WINDOWS\System32\msiefr40.dll

The specified module could not be found.
-----------------------------------------------

I have Windows XP Pro. I decided to go ahead and
uninstall Ad-Aware, but that made no difference. I also
decided to see if maybe I could restore the particular
file using SFC (System File Checker), but everytime I try
and launch SFC by typing "sfc" in RUN, all I see is a
flash of some program for a split second (such as command
prompt or something) and then it disappears!

When I type "sfc /scannow" it asks for my "Windows XP
Professional Service Pack 1 CD" to be inserted for
certain files. Problem is, my WinXP Installation CD for
this particular computer does not include SP1. SP1 was
upgraded after using Windows Update. But in order for
the System File Checker to go all the way through, I had
to keep hitting "Retry" a hundred times to go all the way
through.

What can I do to restore this particular file? Could
somone plz provide me the easiest and most efficient way
to troubleshoot a situation such as this?

Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.
