You can change the size of the onscreen characters. Check the menu when you
have the Command Prompt open - it's there.

Open the Command Prompt. Right click on the Header Bar. Select Default;
Layout and set the screen size. You can also set the font size. If you use
Properties instead of Default, you can change things for just one shortcut
or instance of the program.

Are you sure your old DOS program will run in XP? If not, you might have to
load a legit DOS system on your machine to run it, and then use a multiple
boot menu. Easy, but not until you've done it a time or two.

Sounds like you have an application that may not be 100% compatible with
Windows XP's EMULATED DOS. You need to consider upgrading or dual booting
the machine with a true DOS version.

Possible, but unlikely. First the default screen sizes & fonts need to be
checked. For instance, on my machine the DOS window coveres the left side
of the screen, border to center & top to bottom. By default. My sister's
goes all the way to full screen. If it's just a setting, that's the place
to start, and THEN consider a complete DOS installation and its attendant
extra work.

Just pressing Alt>Enter works OK for me. It was a poster in this group
that recommended it.

The best command is to buy a new accounting program.
