Right click the start button, choose Properties. Click the Customize
button. About two thirds of the way down, there will be a space to click on
Run Command.

Alternativley, just type msconfig into the "start search" box at the botton
of the start menu...

Hi,

You can add it to the menu if you like, but it's not necessary as you can
run any command directly from the search box now.

You can type "MSCONFIG" in the search box and hit enter and access that. Or
go to Start | Accessories | Run. Or to put it permanently on the Start menu,
right click the task bar and go to properties, click the Start Menu tab,
Customize, scroll down to Run command and check that box. Run is back on the
Start menu! :)

I like that one. Thanks for all the input. From what I am reading you
either like Vista or you HATE the dam thing. I don't like the way it
keeps asking for permission all the time. If I told it to do something
it should know I want it to do it.

And still another method: Hold down windows key and press R .
