run calendar at startup

I have office 2007. Is there a way to have calendar (only) startup with
windows?
I know how to make outlook auto-start but only want calendar and it's
reminders to startup. Any hints will be much appreciated.

Calendar is an integral part of Outlook so you cannot start up the calendar
"on it's own". Put a shortcut to Outlook.exe in your Startup folder in your
start menu. Then in outlook tell it to start up in the Calendar folder.
(Typically in 2007 do Tools-Options-Other Tab-Advanced Options (under
General) and set the startup folder there)

See Help, Command line.

the Switch you want is

"/select foldername"

and replace "foldername" with "Calendar"

Thankyou for that. Is there a way to start it minimized?

I am now using the shortcut
"c:\program files (x86)\microsoft office\office12\outlook.exe"/select
outlook:calender

I have not found anything to add that starts it as minimized .
The (x86) is required because i am running a 64 bit version of windows 7 and
office installs the main files there- but also installs a minimal folder in
the reg program files directory as well.

The shortcut properties should have a Run drop-down where you can choose
"Minimized". Also, make sure you include a space in front of the /select
switch.
