Run a DLL as an app error....

Hello Everyone. Bizarre things are happening with my laptop. I made the
mistake of installing some theme software to make my XP look like Vista.
This theme brought my laptop to its knees. So after a few weeks of use, I
uninstalled the software. This is when everything started.
I have run all kinds of Malware packages, Spyware Packages, I have Norton 09
Internet Security running, etc....
Here are the strange things.
#1. If I want to download something using IE I click on a button or a link
to download a file. THe normal dialog box that should show up for the
location to save just flashes on the screen and goes away.
#2. My dialog boxes, when they appear, look funky. Strange sizes, button
text missing, tabs are way to skinny, etc.
#3. Sometimes when trying to enter text into a text box on a website the box
is too skinny and long, can't see the text that I am entering.

Running XP sp2
Vaio Laptop 2GB ram

HELP!!!!!!
Thanks
Scott
