Bill Abelow

I'm running Outlook 2000 and want to emulate the Out of
Office Assistant which doesn't appear in the tools menu.
However, neither does the rules wizard. What to do?

Open Outlook.
Select TOOLS menu
Select OPTIONS
Select the OTHER tab
Click the ADVANCED OPTIONS... button
Click the ADD-IN MANAGER... button
Click the INSTALL... button
Select RWIZ1.ECF
Click the OPEN button

Check to see if you have RULES WIZARD on your menu.

Yes, I am having this same problem too. It just simply
isn't there. Weird eh? I would like to see it again
though... if anyone can help??

Out Of Office assistant is available only to users of
Exchange. Do you connect to an Exchange server?

Hi Nikki,

Sorry to be late but just got a second hand copy of Office and have same
problem as Bill. Had Rules Wizard when initially installed but then it went,
tried you suggestion after seeing it on a Microsoft site but when I went to
Add-in-manager it would not work producing a long error report that told me
nothing. I assume this is a failure rather than an error in my set up.

Any advice would be gratefully received.
