rules unchecked suddenly in outlook 2003

P

problem man

I'm using outlook 2003 to connect non-Microsoft IMAP mail server in WinXP.
Both outlook and WinXP already had the latest patches. In outlook, there's a
rule to move the message, which's just sent out, from local PST to server's
"Sent Items". I've the following problems:
1. server connection occasionally loses, and outlook show the status "offline"
2. after connection resumes, the rule was unchecked i.e. not selected. I've
to select it manually before the rule is running again

In my pc, besides WinXP's Windows Firewall, there's no other firewall
program running. And, ESET NOD32 Antivirus program is running.

How can I fix these problems?

First, make sure you are not scanning e-mail with NOD32. Next, make sure you
have an adequate server timeout value for the IMAP account. Outlook isn't a
very robust IMAP client and I've seen many problems with IMAP servers that
aren't very forgiving.
